I just hope you continue to not have a problem.

With any legitimate bank, credit card company, etc, there are regulators and 
ombudsmen who have the ability to intercede on your behalf when they screw up. 
It may be painful and it will take time, but the problem will get fixed.

With paypal, there is no one who can or will help. You are not dealing with a 
regulated financial services company and are not actually dealing with a 
company subject to Australian law. Their decision is final and they are 
vindictive in how they deal with those they screw up with.
