Was the Fokker designed by a Dutch idiot and was the later Viscount accident
allowed to continue flying by an Aussie idiot and were all a/c flown by
aussie idiots or could you contribute all of the ACCIDENTS to Pommie idiots.
The comet was designed by pommies and as a result of intense efforts by
pommies after the tragic ( there but for the grace of ....was my
demise)failures, lots of info was passed to the world to make jet a/c design
safer. I suppose you would prefer to think of De Havilland's team as pommie
idiots too
Do us a favour and try out the design of your glider in a well developed
thunderstorm.
I've flown pommie designed piston engined a/c through the inter- tropical
front on the way to Australia without weather radar to help find a way
through and no capacity to climb over the top and have a peep round for a
way through. The a/c behaved magnificently. So did the pommie idiots on
board which makes a major contribution to the A/c survival in a
thunderstorm. That was real PENETRATION.
I've flown early Vickers designed a/c and by today's criteria they should
never have flown with pax on board. They have gained experience by these
efforts to make flying the safe form of transport it is now.
