Saturday was a reasonable day at Gawler we had the usual pilots flying off
into the distance, pupils and a smattering of passengers.
I was instructing in the afternoon and although there were a few thermals
the pupils needed to practise other things.
We had over 40 people to a Jabaru meeting in the afternoon and a club party
in the evening that attracted
well over 100 members and associates.
The new workshop area was opened by Gian(Gabby)Hayes with much ado including
free wine and champagne.
Gabby was selected not only for his long association with gliding but
because the workshop was renivated by volenteers and as he did such a great
job in looking after the volenteer section of the world comps he was
selected to have the honour.
The day certainly was not boring
