Please allow me to relate an experience from the ASC Sunday flying
which may amuse. As Michael says below, a truly beautiful day with light
winds and thermals to about 3,000'. Whist flying my Cirrus I had the
privilege to be joined by an eagle. He/she (the eagle) was outclimbing me
and it was not long before the eagle was in front and slightly higher than
me. As I was thinking how wonderful this experience was, the eagle lifted
his tail feathers and let go a spray of birdshit that left a fine mist and a few
lumpy bits on my wings and canopy (No crap this is true!!!).
Thanks a lot, I thought and I could almost see the smile on the eagle's
face as he soared above me. You wait til I meet this guy again with a full
bag of fresh pee!!!
