There is a glider which has a back pack motor being built at Caboolture .
The owner wants to have nothing to do with "GFA unhelpful bullshit" (or less
respectful terms to that effect) and is registering it in the ultralight or
GA category.  I think he may be having CASA inspectors checking his
handiwork.
