Ben, you forgot that the first rule about feeling secure - It has nothing to 
do with actual risk of being harmed. Eg: The risk of an aviation terrorist 
act is neglible compared to the risk of losing your life on the road, yet the 
general public feels secure going into town in the car?

These ASICs and MSICs are there to make the public feel secure about the 
gubbermint doing something. No more no less.

How many aviation terrorist have successfully carried out their plot via the 
airside (where they now need an ASIC)?
