Macca,
They may be onto something, making it part of our GFA membership just like the
BBL?, lets face it, most gliding is all about meeting goals that are defined by
the FAI.
All members may not wish to have the competitor part of membership though?
I personaly would like the convenience of FAI and GFA membership in the one hit
per annum, then i can just rock up to any comp and flash the GFA card, job
done. I keep loosing the damn FAI thingy anyway.

Don't worry I am paid up for comp licence - it was interesting to see how the

coutry has an FAI delegate that must verify claims from that country.This does
have costs involved to maintain the system, i do know for sure that the FAI
delegate is not paid and volunteers her time but the correspondence and costs
of the running of the process may explain the cost of our FAI licenses
