If you weren't to use a reflective tape, wouldn't it be logical that it would be easier to see the glider if it were a darker colour? I for one, being colour blind, find it very hard sometimes to see a glider when it's above me because the colour of it usually "mixes" with the blue sky, or you just plain can't see it against a fluffy white cloud. Although when it's below you, it's easier to see because the white stands out on a brown / green background. I think other colour blind pilots might understand what I mean =\
I always thought it would be best to have a darker coloured paint job, although could anyone comment on if that would affect the frame (In relation to trapping heat, hence heating up the airframe)?
