Don't buy a SPOT 2!

Unfortunately I bought one on Monday. Due to the 'voluntary' recall SPOT
have disabled new registrations so I have a useless device (presumably until
the new Spot 2's are available some time next year). Also the $25 rebate and
free tracking requires registration by 31 December - this is of no use to me
because I can't register. SPOT support say there are no plans to extend this
deadline. What a monumental screw up. Beware that suppliers are still
selling the Spot 2.

Mine's being returned to the supplier with the promise of a full refund.

Regards,

Peter Temple
