If anyone manages to de-encrypt the pdf of the Feb 2011 Flying magazine article linked on the website please let us know.

I saw the article in a newspaper shop yesterday. The electric propulsion seems designed to allow and hour or so in the circuit /training area at a time.

It's interesting that there are no mainstream German sailplane
manufacturers represented in the list of applicants so farÂ…

And the Pipistrelle Taurus is listed as the " the first two-seat
aircraft powered by an electric motor to fly in the world."
