  Update: The Sun Seeker flew at the SHA Western Workshop in 2002, when the 
OSTIV Sailplane Development Panel convened in Tehachapi.
  Alan Patching came home one evening laughing, because one workshop speaker 
had 
made the claim that there was no such thing as laminar flow! With Loek 
Boermans, 
Mark Maughmer and Gerhard Waibel in the audience, you can imagine the 
discussion.
  Believe that week was the first time Gerhard presented "The sailplanes of 
2050", at the Barnaby Lecture. Gerhard joked that the working title was "The 
sailplanes of 2020", but he planned to be around in 2020 and didn't want to 
explain any inconsistencies.
