Hello Tom, hello Mike An empty weight reduction is no longer a dream but reality. The empty weight of the ASG 29 is already a lot lower than any of its competitors but on top of that Schleicher offers a SL (Super Light) version. Using a more expensive (but substantionally lighter) composite lay-up allows the empty weight to be reduced by another 10 kg. I know that is nowhere near the 30 kg you are asking for but a big step in that direction. Kind regards to all! Bernard
