Yes, the Quickstarter loads at system startup when I set that option. However, the problem still remains that clicking on the Quickstarter icon in my system tray has no effect. It does not pop up a list of the components so I can actually use it to start a component.

Does this actually work for anyone? If so, what version of Windows are you using? Linda Worthington says it doesn't work for her on WinXP or Win 2K. Anyone else?

It works on no Windows Version in OOo up to 1.9.7x or SO (BETA 8) !

This is an consequence of a MS Style Guide for the Win Systray, which says "No Icons in systray without an user request".

But the most people I know means the actual situation is a fault, because the icon is in the systray (without user-request) but without the icons to start the components eg. Writer.

If you also think this is a fault, please vote on:

It is a crying shame that this functionality has been taken away.
