As Daniel said, using the OOo Notes and Changes features are the best way to review a document. However, I support you bringing these issues up on the list...but the best way to get it considered by the author is to use the Notes and Changes features.

I interpreted that paragraph to mean that Alan did use Notes and Changes, but he could not upload the file so we could see his changes and notes -- so he chose to send an email rather than let it sit around for a few days. I think that was a very good solution to the problem.
Meanwhile, I took the file to put in Alan's suggested changes, but I haven't had a chance to do that yet, so I can take your further comments into consideration at the same time. Or would you like to do the honours? (I don't mind either way.)
