I'm really delighted with this chapter. It's well written, well organised, easy to read... you've done this before, haven't you? :-)
Mind you, I haven't yet tested the instructions with the program to see if I can follow them. I'll get to that later, when I look at the sections on queries and reports that you're still writing. But I thought you'd want this back soon, so you can drop the new stuff into the edited version of the chapter.
The amount of red "ink" may look like a lot, but most of my edits were fairly trivial. They included re-anchoring figures and doing some style changes for consistency with other chapters in this book.
I've also changed the name of the chapter to "Getting Started with Base" so it matches the chapter titles for Writer, Calc, etc that are being including in the book. I'm wondering if it would be better as "Getting Started with Databases" -- any thoughts on that?
