Hi,

I have forgotten something, which I want to add in this mail now ;)

As I said before, this has been discussed in this group. And yes, we are
a community.

But I think Linda and Jean have every right to put the books on Lulu
(that is one reason, why we use licenses like GPL, CC or PDL.) It's just
possible, to publish these books without notifying anyone, the only
thing, they have to do, is to include the license-text and name the
authors. And this has happened automatically, because Jean has used the
documents from the authors-website.

I think, it's very nice, that Jean wants to give the money, which is
generated via these books, back to the community and spend it for
something, the authors decide. She needn't to do this. There's no part
in any of the used licenses, which tells her, that she has to ask the
community what she can do with the money.

She can do it. She don't need to ask here on the list. And IMHO, Jean
put a lot of "her brains" into these books, she is author/co-author of
many of these books.

Why are you complaining? You can go and publish one of these chapters
(or the whole book) yourself and you can try to make money with them. No
one can stop you doing this.
