This is really bad, at my NL project we have created a backup mailing
list at sourceforge.net because of the delay on CollabNet servers.
Okay, good to know we're not alone in thinking that the list service
here is bad.
Migrating subscribes should be very easy but how about the list
archives? They are a valuable resource.
I didn't realize how easy id' be until Dan and Rob spoke. I guess that's
one less "con" :-)
If the book selling was such a big problem, look at the bright side: if
OOoAuthors.org will secure a revenue source, then it may become possible
to pay for its hosting and not depend on anybody.
The books are not likely to make a lot of money. I'd still prefer to get
free hosting and spend the little we make on something productive.
Enthought has been a fantastic host, we're fine.
Cheers,
Daniel.
