I'll only respond to bits that haven't been covered already.

I am in several other lists (Darcs, Creative Commons, OpenDocument Fellowship, etc). Those lists don't slow down at the same time OOo lists slow down. Naturally I can't predict the future. But my experience with other lists suggests that this is likely to be an improvement.

To me the issue is about the OOoAuthor leads wanting to be independent
of the rest of the OOo community.

Did you know that when OOo was made, it was modeled after the Apache project, in which each project is essentially independent? In any event, the technical issues discussed are real.

I am strongly opposed to moving this list.

Thank you for voting.

My recommendation is that OOoAuthors people work to improve the official
OOo wiki,

I understand that you prefer wikis. Wikis are great. I also think that Plone is great, and that having choice is great. Personally I think that for developing a guide, Plone is a better system. But the beauty of open source is that ultimately people can just use whatever they prefer. If people find it easier to work here for whatever reason, I won't tell them that they must use something else instead. That seems silly.

Best,
Daniel.
