wanted to give you a pre-warning.
Now that you provided the instructions and that I have the chance to
use the WindowsXP silver theme I will have a go. Some of the
screenshots are really basic and even I should be able to create them.

I routinely use SnagIt 7 for screen captures. However, using the OOo
graphics for the inline icons or table graphics and such makes for a far
better visual product.
You might just try a free 30-day (or so) evaluation and fool around with
SnagIt. You might also learn a number of tricks, using the series of
animated tutorials that are part of its documentation.
