I was thinking about re-taking all the screenshots of this particular chapter (only 12) using either some Gnome or KDE default themes: what printing issues should I keep in mind in order to choose a suitable theme?
Good contrast and little or no colour in the title bar are the most important things for printing. And I think having something fairly similar to (or at least compatible with) the WinXP silver theme would help keep the compiled book looking reasonably consistent.
One problem I've seen with a lot of the Linux themes I've seen is that the background of the dialog boxes tends to print as a darker gray than the WinXP silver theme, so the contrast between the words (field names, etc) and the background is not so good, and sometimes the printing looks a bit "muddy".
I've seen a few silvery Gnome themes that work well, and Peter found one (I don't know if it was Gnome or KDE); but I don't recall what any of them were. I keep meaning to find and install one to use when I'm doing screenshots (not necessarily of OOo).
