Hello Andrew,

The issue is fixed in sw30bf09 which I hope will be included in m26.

On a different issue related to numbering.

When I updated the Writer guide to the new template, I have introduced
some new list styles, so I thought it was a good idea to remove the
old list styles. At present OOo does not allow you to search for list
styles and in some occasions, when trying to remove an old list style
OOo complained that the style was in used and did not allow me.

In some occasions I discovered (by chance) where the old list style
was used, in other chapters I was not so lucky, so I was wondering how
difficult it is to build a macro that parses the document and removes
OOoNumbering and OOoBullets list styles.

Cheers,

Michele

Michele,

Andrew is certainly more expert than I in this area, but I'll take a
crack at it, if you like. I had to delete a bunch of paragraph styles
that were generated by converting incoming .RTF files, with generated names of the form "_nnn". That was easy enough, via macro.

The behavior you report, of Writer refusing to delete an active style,
is new to me. Once upon a time (back around 2.0), Writer would delete
an active paragraph style without complaint, and the text would revert
to "Default" style. List styles may be less accommodating.

If you would like me to play with a particular document, please post the URL for it (if it is on the site), or e-mail it directly to me (not to the list). Please be sure to specify what style(s) you want to delete.
