'Left overs' are the fundamental problem of Qt or maybe even X. To not to 
leave any 'left overs', avicap window must turn off overlay _before_ it is 
moved. It seems that things happen in the inverse order, first the window is 
moved and then avicap gets a chance to turn off overlay. Here it happens with
both avicap and xawtv.
Zdenek, if you think you can fix it with call to window manager, go on :) - 
this solution didn't occur to me ...
As an alternative you can use 'preview' or 'deinterlace' modes.
