A question. avicap comes with a small prog kv4lsetup that is normally
installed suid root in /usr/local/bin. Can you check please that:
1) kv4lsetup is there,
2) it is suid root,
3) it is executed as it should when you launch avicap?

Do you have ~/.avirc file? Does it have right permissions? Does it contain
any 'qtvidcap' entries? Is it updated when you exit the program by choosing
'quit' in popup menu?

This is a bug, I'll try to reproduce and fix it later this week.
