avirec and cron or at, I suspect?

*Fixed* !!!

Thanks to the bug-report of another avirec user (well, the only other avirec
user I've known....)

avirec and avicap now write with perfect sync, even for long recordings.

BUT:

For unknown reasons, mencoder doesn't like it - if you re-encode avirec/avicap
files with mencoder, the sync gets broken

But when just playing these files with mplayer/aviplay, the sync is fine.

To re-encode avirec/avicap files, I recommend avidemux, that seems to work
nicely for me, and it keeps the sync

I haven't tested transcode yet for this.

Do you use other recording tools like nvrec, vcr, dvr, whatever, what are your
experiences with other rec. tools etc?

I can do that once in a while - at present, I need a second user to test some
things from time to time ;-)

Test avirec's working A/V-sync, and then maybe you want to use avirec/avicap
more often ;-)

And if you then might decide to help us as a 'beta-tester', you should better
read the list - there's not much traffic there anyway - if not, I'll send you
the important postings/patches ;-)
