Yes, that's a nice feature, your computer powered off between recordings ;-)

But it can also be used stand-alone with nvram-wakeup and avirec/vcr

But I liked to have a complete TV/PVR application ;-)

On Unix, I can recommend avidemux.

On win32, of course, VirtualDub

What other tools do you use (always searching for new ones)
