Hmm still seems lik it does mipmapping on low quality (or looks better)... http://www.kaourantin.net/swf/mipmap.html
To answer the original question, if you want your graphics to be faster I have noticced texture size, amount of colors (gif vs png) and transparency all play a factor in speed. So smaller, less colors will play faster (and will take up less memory) than a larger bitmap -Pete On Tue, Nov 18, 2008 at 10:38 AM, Peter Kapelyan <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>wrote: > Yes there is mippmapping if the texture a power of four... > > However I don't think it does mipmapping on low quality (which is what I > usually use) > > Sim not sure if that Power of four texture size applies if you are in low > quality mode, so a 64x64 should be faster than 65 x 65 in low quality. > > On Tue, Nov 18, 2008 at 10:32 AM, AlinaX <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>wrote: > >> >> > Makc wrote: >> > do not even values automatically turn mip-mapping on? so, in theory, >> > 65x65 would be faster and consume less memory than 64x64, no? >> >> There is no 3D hardware acceleration (and mipmapping) in flash >> (player). > > > > > -- > ___________________ > > Actionscript 3.0 Flash 3D Graphics Engine > > HTTP://AWAY3D.COM <http://away3d.com/> > -- ___________________ Actionscript 3.0 Flash 3D Graphics Engine HTTP://AWAY3D.COM
