Ben, that's exactly what I asked. I finally managed to apply material to different faces using your method.
Since I am pretty new to actionscript and away3d, I am still studying Fabrice's method. About using separated meshes, if I have a big 3d shopping mall, can I use separated meshes(here my understanding is separated meshes means separated 3d objects) for different walls?
