The fact that they use Away3D for comparison is very cool. Being
compared to commercial / proprietary software isn't something that
happens to every Open Source project out there, so I would say that is
a testament to how good Away3D really is.

According to their funding press release "..,10,000 building blocks
known as polygons ... [the] ... level of quality is close to what you
would find in a high-end console game". Won't $3.5 Million in funding
buy you something better than a Dreamcast? I like Ninjas, but these
seem like the american kind. You know the ones that look cool in
movies but can't fight for real ;-)

That said - I'm sure they'll build a kick-ass engine once they get to
it, but such claims are pretty lame when all you have to show is some
2D Facebook games (that both are copies of bestselling games from
competitors) and a video of a knight? Did I miss something or did they
have an actual running demo there?
