yep, i'm doing that

the biggest problem right know is that i don't know much of away3d and
every engine/version handle things a lot differently

usually i would modify the camera projection matrix to set my "point
of view", but in Away3DLite seems to be pointless, because it doesn't
affect the scene rendering
