John, This has been enlightening as many of you have already been through the last name experience. I believe John Raposo wrote the same thing about having to go way back and find the name in some ancestor several generations back. I just hope I can recognize them and not skip over them because sometimes the names are not clear to read.
Curious: How did you know your 4th G grandfather Antonio was son of Antonio Pimentel Velho and Anna Pimentel when the name didn't match?
