Dear friend
When it says AUZENTE/AUSENTE/AUXENTE/ it doesnt mean the person either
is dead or missing. It could be he was working somewhere  away very far and
could not
be present at the event such one child birth, baptism and even marriage, in
this case
they used a proxi to represent him

Best regards

Thanks Hermano,

You and George Pacheco agree and looking at it knowing what it is I can see it.
What I find unusual is the writer included the word auzente meaning absent.
Could it be that he had disappeared and they did not know if he was alive or
dead?

Rick,
This is wat I make out:
Francisco Pacheco son of Joao Pacheco  and Francisca de Jesus with Florinda de
Jesus daughter of Igancio da Camara, absent (auzente) and Maria de Jesus.
Hope that helps.
Hermano

Hi All,

Once again I have a name I cannot make out. It is the father of Florinda de
Jesus I read so far Ignacio C   ?       Rezende. The middle name just does not
look like anything familiar. Do you have any ideas?

Thanks for the help

Rick
