Rick,

I have been pondering over your document for a few days while I looked
for a list of Portuguese occupations that I have. Sometimes they use
to put the occupation after a persons name or his current status in
life, i.e. widower, or sometimes the word natural or naturais meaning
that he or they were also born in the town spoken of above. However,
I can't make out any of these clarifications in your document. I
would agree with Margaret Vicente that it is definately Ignacio "da"
C............ I believe that it may be Casimiro but it is definately
"da". I don't believe that Rezende is even there. I believe that
whatever that word is it ends in "ente". Look at the word "presente"
just 3 lines above. The ending is the same.

I think the best thing to do is to look for a marriage record for a
brother or sister which would have all of the other names on the
family's side and you might get a better view. Birth records for
Florinda or one of her siblings should also give you some
clarification. Hang in there; some documents are almost impossible to
read. Good luck,

Tex (Walter Teixeira)
