Thanks to all who responded! How exciting. If someone has not started their genealogy, how does one start. I have the villages and the islands. I have marriage records, baptismal of my parents and grandparents plus their passports and military records. How much does it cost to get started and where does one go to do this?
How does one find a guide and what are their costs? (this is very important as I am nervous of what it will be like there, but excited, too!) What could we do at night, if we are sightseeing and I would be looking for genealogy during the day. How could I find relatives that are still living as I do not know who they are? My parents and grandparents are all deceased. Sorry if I do not reply correctly, I hit reply at the bottom of the last email. Is that right?
