Hello Cheri,
I just joined this site and am very confused so am writing to get some insight
on my next step. My great grandfather (surname Simmons) I was told was born on
Ste. Michael's Island in Azores. Is it correctly called St. Miguel? I know
the birth or death of my great grandfather and some other genealogy
information. I am interested in knowing more about the Family Tree DNA. Is
this process only connected to Azores Genealogy or do other parts of the world
participate in this type of search process. For example, I am searching for
Scotland and European ancestors.

Can you suggest what my next step should be and what is involved in the FTDNA?

Thank you for your time. I appreciate any thoughts you have to help me in my
search.

Pamela Russell
