I have to agree, the flavor & texture of the linguica & chourico  isn't the 
same in Calif. as the ones from Mass. I was born & raised in Mass.  & I 
have now lived in Calif. for 20+ years. I have tried most of the ones  from 
Calif. & I must be spoiled because I just don't like them. It changes  the 
flavor to the soups and whatever else we put them in. I do order Gaspar's a  
lot! My family in MA was in the New Bedford area. They used to mail it to be.  
Most of them are gone now.
