I am not sure if this is the same family but...there was a "John Quillo" farming on the San Mateo County coast (Half Moon Bay area). I could not find that spelling there on a census on ancestry.com. However my mom's first cousin married a woman who I think was a granddaughter. By that time they were using the name Coelho and living in or near Tracy, California.
