*Manoel da Mota's father's surname is "Vasconcellos". As for Anna's mother, women (mothers) were not always mentioned in early records - especially, if they weren't of noble birth. Apparently, she died sometime in years between Anna's birth, and her marriage to Manoel da Mota. That Goncalo was a widower, is stated in this very record by the word "viuvo," following Goncalo Mendes' surname.
