Erica, *There are TWO "bottom of the pages" in the image in your link, you 
need to specify which you are referring to -* the one on the left shouldn't 
present any problem for anyone to read, so I will presume that you are 
having difficulty with the page on the right.  I agree with Hermano, this 
record does not mention the people you refer to; it is a Marriage record 
for Domingos de Mello (fisherman), son of Simao da Costa and Maria 
Fernandes with "Maria" de Souza, daughter of Joao Furtado, and what appears 
to be *another** "*Maria" de Souza, as her mother. The narrative states 
that the bride's parents are both deceased - that is all that pertains to 
the Bride's family. From there, the narrative goes on to mention several 
prominent dignitaries witnessing the event, but there is no mention of 
anyone named 'Manuel' de Souza, or Maria 'Rodriguez.' I think that you may 
have just read the names wrong.
