Well, Eliseu, lets put it this way, I may be a little more skilled with my language, but, you're much more skilled with yours - I recognize that from your affinity for *abbreviations, *esp. all those which follow your name :))
As for the subject at hand, I didn't intend to deliver a dissertation, but just make my point clear. Once one encounters an abbreviation there's no more mystery to it; I'm sure the scribes and priests that used them didn't sweat making lists of them - they just used what what seemed to work at the time... I don't have any issue w/ keeping notes - that's what we do as researchers. Of course, since you are a teacher, you need to prepare the material you present, therefore, notes are more essential to you, than to me. I would rather post my notes as footnotes to my research, that way everything is kept together. I don't like "odd" lists because once you've made them, they need to be filed away (*good luck trying to find them when you need them).* Helping others is fine, as long as you don't overdo it, and, prevent those "beginners" from learning how to do the work on their own. As a teacher you should relate to that better than any of us. Our ancestors may have been many things, "neat and simple" is not how I'd describe them..The way they did things was hard, but, they figured out how to get the job done, and, they were brilliant. Most of them were illiterate, so "bookkeeping" was not their main concern. That didn't prevent them from making a living, and, passing down to us many contributions to today's society - such as the sciences, the arts, and, other disciplines.
