I recently came across a certificate of citizenship, issued 22 July
1937. I would like to get a copy of the petition for citizenship. Is
this the same as declaration of intent of citizenship?
I am assuming the petition will have alot of useful genealogy data. I
have a copy of instructions for form g-1041 and g-1041-a. I believe the
uscis file number will be the certificate of citizenship record number.
Do I need to do the index search first?
