I decided to look for marriage and found this. The last name is Carvalho which is not close to Roberts. But the wife's name Rosa matches, her father is listed in her death certificate as Frank Lima which also matches. Her daughter is listed twice in the 1900 US (Clementina Lansfield married name) census once as living with her parents, a few days later as a lodger with Frank da Costa Lima (too young to be the grandfather but could be mother's brother or cousin) (da Costa was confirmed through other California records...
