Sandra, I know of a Furtado's line which is connected to Moniz Vieira and Bettencourt in Fenais da Ajuda in that time period. Captain Braz Furtado de Medeiros married Maria Moniz Vieira and I think that she may be connected to Bárbara Moniz de Bettencourt.
