The point is that one needs to be very careful about relating Hebrew
words "horizontally", namely, מעונן M-ONEN, 'conjurer', and
ענן ANAN, 'cloud', may have nothing in common, the same way that
חציר XACIYR, 'hay', and חצר XACER, 'courtyard', have nothing in
common, except for their common root XCR (a variant of קצר QCR),
'cut, partition'.
