The Baha'i Studies Listserv Hi, It seems many issues are not clear. Did anyone write to the House about this prayers, the Tablet of Medicine and the apparent contradiction with the letter on behalf of the Guardian?

I would not describe the bismillah as a grace. Shoghi Effendi seems to be objecting specifically to grace at it is performed in Christianity, though how that differs from 'Abdu'l-Baha's prayers is not clear to me. On some hot-button > issues, some Bahais treat them as over-ruling anything else.
