It would be more useful you cited a primary rather than a secondary
source. BNE is hardly a work of jurisprudence. I would not think it
would need to make an exception for writing the history of dead
people. I would think that quotes like this clearly infer we are
talking about the living, not the dead:
"To be silent concerning the faults of others, to pray for
them, and to help them, through kindness, to correct
their faults."
(Dr. J.E. Esslemont, Baha'u'llah and the New Era, p. 82)
We are not exactly in a position to use kindness to correct the faults
of the dead.
