The Baha'i Studies Listserv I would also add that there is a difference in terms of authority which is part of the picture as well. If Bahaullah wants to describe someone that is one thing. If an ordinary Bahai wants to talk about their neighbor, that's something else. Or on the Islamic side, Abu Lahab is cussed out in the Quran by name but that doesn't mean we can talk about people that way when we don't have the authority to do so, or the ability to see into a person's heart.
