Islam certainly gives limited approval to the use of force. In fact, neither the Bahai faith nor Islam are pacifist religions. Shoghi Effendi actually criticizes pacifism as anti-social and (presumably Gandhi's) non-cooperation philosophy is criticized as too passive.
