Science is not immune to political correctness - or legal action/threats or internal politics and arm-twisting.< Ian: IMO, it has little to do with political correctness . Numerous groups, from Aesthetic Realism (Eli Segal) to the International Healing Foundation (from Richard Cohen, a member of the Unification Church) have claimed to be able to change an individual's sexual orientation . However, there is no reliable data supporting the effectiveness of any of them. All the evidence is anecdotal. It was the American Psychiatric Association (the DSM- IV). -- Regards, Mark A.
