Lt. General Marquis Alain de Mylcandonai,
     Thank you very much for arranging my appointment to command the First 
Division.  While the results this month were inclcusive, the units under my 
command performed admirably, and I am certain we will do better next month.
     I was surprised to notice that you are not yourself commanding a 
division.  I trust that there was not a serious problem that prevented this.
