For example, what about a mission that deals with wikileaks. The NGO
wants to help the initiative (because its serves its agenda for whatever
reason), and let's say for example that you would need to secure a chat
conversation (actually, this could be fun - you would for example have
to protect a website from incoming attacks, while being able to
listen/read the conversation). This would be more fun if the
conversation involves Assange, since it is the public face associated
with the initiative.

That's a good example.

Involving wikileaks some way or the other in our game seems to me like something we should do. Because it's part of the reality, because it's big, because there are hundreds of questions related to what is happening there, because it could be great material for our kind of game, among other things.

But when it comes to Assange, then I have more doubts. Doubts on the legal side, that I would like to clarify first. Doubts on the ethical side - we haven't got yet a context, a tone, something that would make me comfortable putting words in the mouth of real people. Example : if I know that I'm doing Les guignols or Southpark, I have an idea (or at least I should) of the kind of moral contract I have with my audience - in this case it would be that my goal is to make fun of everything and everyone, and my rule should be that there is no one who should escape this global mockery - the limit being the number of times I get sued I guess and my ability to survive to these trials. If I do a biopic with a dramatic tone, then my moral contract will be different, Etc. And right now I don't know enough about the game we're doing and the experience for the player to have a clear idea on how I would feel about involving real people.

In a nutshell, I'm not sure to see the added value compared to the various issues I have with that - at least currently.
